I recently had the great pleasure of speaking with my good friend John Coster as part of his #10DaysOfConflictMemory Series 2.
John wanted to find out more about my motivation for creating the Shoah: Contemporary Images of the Holocaust website and how I set about choosing the images used. As he mentions, I have amassed a vast image archive from many research visits over the years, some of which were used for for my book, Suspended Disbelief: Reflections on the Holocaust, published in 2016.
I feel that using contemporary images allows us to tell a renewed story by reinforcing the relevance of the Holocaust to us now and everyday.
